Adding Securly Locker to your ASM Location

Many of the functions in Securly MDM require a free app called Securly Locker. Unlike other applications, you do not need to do anything in Securly MDM to assign Locker to the devices, as it will happen automatically. However, you do need to have enough licenses of Securly Locker added to one of the content tokens that’s connected to Securly MDM.

To purchase Securly Locker:

1. In Apple School Manager choose Apps and Books from the main menu.
2. Search for “Securly Locker” then click to choose the version for iOS/macOS.
3. In the “Buy Licenses” section choose the location for the content token that you loaded into Securly MDM from the “Assign to” selector.
4. For quantity, enter a number larger than the maximum number of devices you expect to ever enroll into Securly MDM to avoid the need to ever go back and add more. The licenses are free, so it’s recommended to overestimate.
5. Click the Get button.

The licenses will take some time to be added to your account. In most cases you’ll receive a notification from ASM when they are ready. Securly Locker will then automatically pushed on iPad/Mac devices after enrollment from which the student can access files, links and apps allowed by the school.
