Network Profile Details Settings

SettingDescription
Allow only listed Apple TVsWhen selected, users on devices will not be able to browse for Apple TVs when using AirPlay, but will only be able to select from the ones configured through Securly MDM and pushed to the device by being included in the network profile assigned to the device. This setting only takes effect on iPads, not Apple TVs.
Save Apple TV passwords on deviceWhen selected, passwords for each configured Apple TV in the profile will be saved to the iPads that use this profile. This will allow the iPad user to launch AirPlay on their iPad and connect to any Apple TV in the list without entering a password. In most cases, this setting should be disabled for profiles assigned to student iPad groups. Note that this would not prevent the teacher from connecting the student’s device to the classroom Apple TV using Securly MDM’s Teacher Tools, because in these cases, the password would be entered automatically. It just means that the password would not be saved to the device where it would allow the student to connect to the Apple TV later, on their own. This setting is often enabled for profiles assigned to teacher devices, to allow them to connect their own iPad to the Apple TV easily.
Force WiFi allow listWhen checked, devices with this network profile will only be allowed to connect to SSIDs defined on the WiFi tab in this profile. This setting should be used with caution. If a network profile is pushed to devices with this option checked and the settings on the WiFi tab are incorrect, the device will drop the current connection and won't be able to connect to any network and therefore will not be able to receive a corrected profile. Use of this setting would also prevent the student from connecting to a WiFi network at home or elsewhere.
