Managing Devices

Devices are organized in Securly MDM by device groups. Device groups are assigned to a school location. Every device is a member of a single device group and cannot be a member of multiple groups. Groups are arranged on the Devices menu by OS type, iOS/iPad OS, macOS, and tvOS.

The Devices menu also has a tab labeled Removed Devices. This tab contains a list of devices that were previously enrolled in Securly MDM but have been removed. For each device, the Reason column can be used to know how the device was removed. Possible values are:

• School deleted from MDM console
• Device group deleted from MDM console
• Device deleted from MDM console
• MDM Profile removed from the device by user
