Managing Web Links

A Web Links in Securly MDM is a defined web site with a URL and optional description. Users in all roles are able to create web links. The list of web links is shared by the entire organization, however, by default, the web links list will be filtered to show a user only their own links.

We links may be used individually, or placed into groups called Web Collections. Web Links and collections can be used in various areas of Securly MDM:

• Site Lock: Teacher Tools Site Lock is used to lock students on iPads into Safari and to the selected web site or collection
• Screen Layouts: When added to a screen layout for an iPad, web links and collections appear as icons on the device screen for easy access by students
• Securly Locker: Web Links can be assigned to devices where they will appear in the Securly Locker app for easy access by students

Note that the list of web links is shared between Securly MDM and Securly Classroom.
