In the event of an emergency situation, it is extremely important to have a plan in place with clear instructions on what to do in case of different situations. One situation to prepare for is knowing what to do when none of the emergency contacts for a student answer the phone.
If your next steps include notifying local authorities, be that police, mental health crisis intervention teams, or others, have their numbers on hand.
