Article summary

The Users tab allows management of the users who will log into the Securly MDM console. This would typically include administrators and teachers, but would not include students.

Each user is assigned to a single role and each role has a set of permissions. The permissions are configured in Settings / Permissions.

Adding a user

  1. Navigate to Users > Click the Add User button
  2. Enter the email address of the user.
  3. Create a password for the user, or choose to have the system generate one automatically.
  4. Choose your options for requiring a password change and notifying the user of their new account.
  5. Select a role for the user. The user can only be assigned to a single role.
  6. Enter a first and last name for the user.
  7. Optionally, enter any notes about this user
  8. For users other than Organization Admins, provide access to at least one school location using the School Access section of the page. Click the "+" icon to choose one or more schools.
  9. Click the Save at the top right corner.
