Setting up ASM Apps & Books allows Apps and Books to be selected in Apple School Manager and then distributed to devices and users. This was formerly known as Apple Volume Purchase Program or VPP.
In ASM, Apps and Books are purchased (including free) under a Content Token with one Content Token being associated with each Location within ASM. Each of the Content Tokens in ASM can be downloaded and added to Securly MDM to allow distribution of content from that token.
Note
A Content Token can only be in use by one MDM or Apple Configurator instance at a time. If you are on a trial of Securly MDM you may wish to create a new location in ASM in order to get a new Content Token that you can use with Securly during your trial. Later, when ready to switch to Securly MDM, you can remove your existing Content Tokens from your previous MDM system or Apple Configurator to start using them with Securly.
