Flex “Autoassign with Catchall by Room” is a type of catchall in the system and therefore uses the catchall file format shown below. This file will identify the teachers a student could be assigned to when the Autoassign algorithm runs. Changes or additions to the Preference List can be made by uploading a new file or directly on the “Preference List” user interface screen in Flex. The Preference List can be sent via SFTP or uploaded manually into the Flex system by an Admin.
Without a preference file, Autoassign can still be used but will consider all teachers equally available (or a “good fit”) when autoassigning students, meaning students might be autoassigned to teachers they do not know or have on their regular schedule.
The file requires two columns with the following headers: studentemail and teacheremail.
