Image Blurring allows administrators to enable or disable automatic blurring of selected image types on student devices when content is identified as inappropriate or sensitive. Please reach out to our Support team to have this setting activated for your school.
This feature is available only if your school is using the Securly Filter browser extension on Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge.
When enabled, the Securly extension instantly and privately detects and blurs inappropriate images directly on the user’s device, without sending images to an external server for review or requiring any manual intervention.
Admins can adjust the intensity of the blur based on the Confidence level and Blur level selected for the listed categories.

Similar to the Confidence Level in Securly Aware, the Confidence Level dropdown lets you control how certain the system must be before an image is classified under a category and blurred. Higher confidence levels apply stricter criteria for an image to be blurred.
The Blur dropdown lets you control the blur intensity, from low to high, as shown in the example below.
