Configuring Policies

Prev Next

The next step in the setup process after the extension is deployed is to configure your policies which will define how web filtering will function in your organization. For all of the policies, it is recommended that you block inappropriate content (e.g., adult content, violence, gambling), set up exceptions for educational sites or services, and enable alerts for flagged activities.

Securly Filter allows you the flexibility to set up different policies to suit various types of users accessing your network.

Note

Before you make changes to the different policies or create any new policy, please review your global settings. Learn more about Global settings and the setting up policies from the Managing Policies section of this guide.

Once you are done setting up the policies, you can then apply those policies to the various OUs in your school.
